WE INSTALL & SERVICE BAFANG MOTORS
Build, destroy, rebuild, repeat...This resilient IGH has been relentlessly modded and mercilessly punished for the benefit of future builds. If you see it coming, be warned: stay out of its way! ...unless you want to convert your bike into an ebike.
Built with the request not to change an effing thing from Bafang's OEM specs. Sadly, "700c" Bonnie is no longer with us. The bike was converted back to its original state, and found a new home with a lucky teenager. Its motor was recycled for Bonnie II.
This gangsta sports a light, low profile 10 Ah battery that suits the bike's lighter weight. Built with a 44T chainring, this is a fast ride, clocked at 35 mph! Last seen dodging reckless car drivers on the dangerous streets of Redondo Beach. La-di da-di, free...
Reprieved from a decades long garage imprisonment, this fair maiden of the isles was cleaned up and built with a lightweight 10 Ah battery. Its pictured with a comfortable, wide seat, perfect for long rides.
A light, steel-tubed classic. Almost as much time was spent restoring its old-school cantilever brakes as installing the motor! Other mods included a softer seat and longer gooseneck for more comfortable rides. It has relocated to Ohio with its partner in crime, Lucky Luciano.
This lightweight Gary Fisher MTB had lots and lots of previous trail use. Unfortunately, a frozen bottom bracket nearly thwarted installation of the BBS02B motor. Several Dremel bits later, it now grinds up trails with a 36T chainring and an extended range 14 Ah battery.
With its motor transplanted from Bonnie I, this bike is tuned for smooth starts and efficient power use. Its frequently seen in the hills and valleys of Ventura County.
Built for the youngest member of the Big Poppa gang, this trail bike has a 10 Ah battery as a rack mounted option. As to be expected from the new kid on the block, Lil' Mo's throttle gets heavy use!
With 2.5" wide tires, full-suspension, a folding frame, stow-away handlebars, and dual battery capability, this monster has all the benefits of a fat bike...with better portability. The donor bike's puny 350W hub motor was replaced by the Bafang 1000W BBSHD motor for steep trails.
This veteran triathelete was retrofitted with new braking and gearing systems. For a sleek look, its front derailleur cable guides were modified to hold the ebike motor wiring. A 44T chainring enables lightning fast sorties on the hills and streets of La Crescenta.
This venerable craft was christened outside Big Poppa's trade guild. After years of use, its BBSHD motor was overdue for maintenance. The motor was lubed and retrofitted with a Lekkie chainring, keeping its owner two steps ahead of the Empire. Its back to daily Kessel runs between Savareen and Valencia.
This fat bike had a malfunctioning rear hub motor and extra-heavy accessories. It was rejuventated with a BBS02B motor and slimmed down to remove excess weight. Bafang wiring is hidden inside the frame. With lighter wheels and tires, it now weighs <60 lbs!
This is a labor-of-love BBS02 conversion of a popular folding bike format. The only original equipment are the frame and the fork! It is fitted with 27.5" x 3.0" fat tires, 180mm disc brakes, a suspension seat post and custom battery mount. It can be seen on rail-trails and MTB paths across the USA.
The younger brother of Blue Magic, this former hub-drive fat bike was converted to a BBS02B and tuned for a cadillac-like ride on rough MTB trails. Although heavier than its sibling, its plush seating and suspension is appreciated for long-range adventures.
We'll post pictures of future bike builds here...
